Seriously, this auction house, just minutes from the house conducts montly sales (I will always know upcoming dates). Often you can bid on wonderful & reasonably priced furnishings or even paitings by Local artists (Boudin, Hambourg, Dubourg, St Delis, Herbo…). Most interesting sales are held in mid-August & beginning of January. |

Alexis, born in Honfleur, just 26 years old and already one of the best chefs my husband and I have come across! L'Endroit specializes in traditional French bistrot cooking (lots of slow cooked meat dishes that fall off the bone), fresh fish delights, great homemade desserts and always using the best fresh ingredients hand picked by Alexis and his charming girlfriend Marlene. It's the new hot ticket in town and definitely worth going to. Situated in an old refurbished architect's workshop, interesting "kitsch" modern design & furnishing (done by Alexis & Marlene) complete with an open kitchen where you can see Alexis cutting his veggies, spices and preparing everything so it is just right for you! He returned with his wife Karin in 2004 and opened Le Bréard. Located in the heart of Saint Catherine, this restaurant provides excellent and changing menus at reasonable rates using local ingredients. Careful, the deserts are to die for!! Céline oversees that you eat well while next door her husband, Régis presides over the towns favorite local café & pub; L’Albatros; THE bistrot on the old port where tourists mix with seafarers and locals alike at all hours of the day and night! Reservations generally not necessary and not accepted during high season and busy weekends. Menus from 18 € to 27 €. |
